CSA Terms & Conditions

Community Supported Agriculture is a relationship between our farm and you, our customer. Rather than just purchasing flowers, our customers become "members" of our farm and receive a portion of our harvest. With this pre-season income, we purchase supplies for the upcoming season such as seeds, bulbs, tubers, soil, and equipment.

CSA TERMS & CONDITIONS

Valentine's CSA Farm Share Gift Certificates: Gift Certificates for the Valentine's Share can only be picked up at Jericho Ale and Bean on Route 15 in Jericho. After Purchase, we will prepare your gift certificate and make arrangements with you to pick it up at Jericho Ale & Bean between February 8-11.

Payment: Your advanced CSA Payment secures you a share of our flower harvest for the time period purchased. No refunds are available after purchasing a CSA share. If you are not able to receive your pre-purchased CSA share for any reason, you may transfer over your share to someone else if you wish. Please let us know in advance if this is the case.

Start Date: The start and end dates for each CSA share are approximate and will ultimately be decided by Mother Nature when blooms appear. We will notify share members via email as to when the exact start dates will be 1-2 weeks prior. We do plan our seed, bulb, and tuber plantings carefully to provide blooms as soon as possible and into the season as late as possible. Emails concerning your share membership will be sent from 802flowerfarm@gmail.com. Please add our email to your contacts to prevent it from going to spam folders.

Pick up: Bouquets will be available for pick up on Fridays after 1 pm at Jericho Ale & Bean at 51 Route 15 in Jericho. They have been very gracious to allow us to use their storefront for a pick-up location. Please consider trying some of their coffee and/or beer! Jericho Ale and Bean are open until 7 PM on Friday and 11-7 on Saturday. Any bouquet not picked up by 7 PM Saturday will be forfeited and donated. Proprietors of Jericho Ale & Bean are not responsible to hold your bouquet outside of the pick-up times and have no responsibility over your bouquet and CSA share membership other than handing you off your bouquet. If you are not able to pick up your share for any given week, it is your responsibility to let us know in advance or find someone else to pick up the share. There will be no refunds, replications, or share extensions for missed weeks unless agreed upon by Cloverdale Flower Farm in advance.

Vase Life: We never cut corners in trying to give you the best quality & freshest blooms available, but flowers are a perishable product. We only use freshly cut and properly conditioned flowers in your bouquets. Vase life for most blooms is 5-10 days, but some flowers like Dahlias, Cosmos, and Sunflowers can begin to fade in 3-5 days. You will be instructed on the care instructions for your bouquets at the beginning of your share membership. If you are ever unhappy with your bouquet for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible via email at 802flowerfarm@gmail.com. We want you to be happy and if for any reason you are not, please let us know.

Risk and Abundance Sharing: As a member of our CSA share program, you share in both the risk and abundance of farming. We take every precaution to prevent crop loss due to pests, weather, and other things. There may be issues that arise beyond our control that may affect the number of flowers in your bouquet or other factors during your CSA membership. We will do our best to keep you informed via email of any issues we face. In the hopeful situation that we have an overabundance of flowers, you will be sure to benefit with extra large or additional bouquets.

Our CSA Goal: Our goal in offering this CSA membership is (1) To make you happy with a beautifully arranged & unique bouquet of flowers. (2) Offer our regular customers discounted pricing. (3) To provide the farm with upfront income to cover the pre-season expenses necessary to expand our flower farm this year.
